Dr. Jennifer Konzen

Dr. Jennifer Konzen is a two-time nationally award-winning researcher. She works with individuals, couples, and families. You may be having challenges with anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, or grief. Perhaps sexuality specifically has been an area of pain and difficulty in your life, due to family background, trauma, sexual compulsivity, or betrayal, and you are seeking support and answers. Or perhaps you are married, looking for help in your relationship. We know that God's plan for intimacy in marriage is the work of a Master artist, and genuine intimacy is like a beautiful masterpiece. At the same time, that might not be your story, and that can be painful. You might have long-term high-conflict or disconnection, and marriage is hard. Perhaps sexuality and intimacy in your marriage have been an area of great frustration and heartbreak. Or perhaps your marriage is going well, but you want to make your sex life better and you’re looking for help on how to do that. Dr. Konzen works with individuals and couples in each of the areas listed above. And for those looking for marital care, The Art of Intimate Marriage provides direction and guidance on how to get to a new place in their relationship.

"Jennifer ... helped us to be at ease about this sensitive topic, and shared it in an engaging, honest, vulnerable, and humorous manner... I was able to learn how to help couples who were unfaithful in their relationships, as well as learn how to educate my children about sexuality in a respectful way."

"Jennifer's passion for her work instantly shows through... Jennifer has taught me to invite my clients, their spouses, their families, and their faith communities into connection and understanding of their sexuality. This invitation is a refreshing alternative to regressing into fear with a clear, detailed discussion about intimacy, eroticism, and sexuality. Her book, The Art of Intimate Marriage: A Christian Couple's Guide to Sexual Intimacy, is an indispensable referral to many of my Christian clients. Her trainings are an important resource to therapists local and across the United States."

"For many years, I have been interested in pursuing specialized training in sexuality, but found it was difficult to locate reliable courses that were also spiritually grounded. Dr. Konzen provides both biblically astute and scientifically apprised training and is deeply committed to practical applications that include medically informed approaches. Dr. Konzen’s model of therapy is both evidence-based and full of useful tools that can be immediately put into practice in session. I have benefited tremendously from training at the Center for Sexuality and would recommend Dr. Konzen’s courses to both training therapists and experienced therapists alike."

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
